This unit examines the current status of community work and community development in social work, and evaluates recent theoretical and practical contributions. Community-based human services and community-based social work are also considered. Social change and social action models may also be included. The unit involves both theoretical analysis and skill development. The content and structure are negotiated according to individual/collective needs and interests. -- Course Website
