This unit covers the principles, practice and interpretation of randomised sample surveys for official statistics, market research, social research and public health research. It introduces the student to survey design and exposes them to both observational and experimental survey methods. It presents important statistical concepts and techniques in sample design, execution, and estimation along with issues such as questionnaire design, non-response, the effect of question structure and methods of measurement. -- Course Website
