This unit is taken over two successive semesters and parts 1 and 2 must be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit. Students can commence the unit in either semester 1 or semester 2.<br/><br/>Students carry out an original, individual research project with supervision. The unit is examined by thesis and can only be taken by students enrolled in the honours program. The project includes development of a testable hypothesis or research objectives in an area of science communication, selection and use of appropriate methods, execution of the project, analysis and interpretation of results, presentation of a seminar describing the project and completion of a written thesis... -- Course Website

Prerequisites: weighted average of 65 per cent or better in 42 points comprising Level 3 science communication units and a science major; enrolment in Science Communication honours
