This unit discusses the factors that promote successful teaching. It provides information about current teaching philosophy and practice. It reviews methods of teaching for adult learners, always keeping a particular focus on clinical teaching. Practical information about choosing the right teaching method and providing effective feedback is discussed. The unit encourages students to develop a personal teaching philosophy, while also facilitating their ability to coach, mentor, teach and train adults with very diverse backgrounds, learning styles and career intentions.
