This is an intermediate to advanced unit designed principally for students specialising in health promotion and disease prevention. Students taking this unit spend a major part of their time on secondment to an outside agency involved in health promotion. They are expected to obtain first-hand experience of the practical aspects of health promotion by becoming actively involved in the activities of their host agency in the context of the relevant scientific literature. -- Course Website
