Children with neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g. learning disorders, ADHD, pervasive developmental disorders), frequently experience distress as may those who interact with them at home and school. Assessment of these disorders often requires careful consideration of comorbid diagnoses and differential diagnoses. Interventions require high levels of skill, flexibility and knowledge. While understanding of the aetiology and developmental trajectory of many of these disorders is growing, it is still limited.
