This unit helps students design an appropriate research question for their dissertation. Students choose a topic and supervisor in the first month of the unit, then undertake several research training tasks which culminates in a presentation to an honours workshop at the end of semester. Students work under the guidance of an academic staff member, who advises them on the formulation of an appropriate research design for the thesis. Students also receive feedback on their proposed research design at the workshop from other staff in the discipline. -- Course Website
