The unit targets a range of conditions to include the correction of nail and selected digital deformities. Students have the opportunity to treat podiatric surgical patients under supervision in the UWA Podiatric Surgery Clinic and associated hospital rotations as arranged; develop an appreciation of the ethical issues associated with surgical practice; develop the ability to present clinical assessments and to recommend alternative possible treatments; acquire supervised clinical experience working with individual patients and within small groups. -- Course Website
