Students become conversant with the published literature relevant to their field of study and skilled in the retrieval of this information. They read and critique the scientific literature to identify a research question and then develop a research plan appropriate to the identified question and achievable within the available resources and time. They identify the ethical aspects of their research plan and prepare an ethics application where appropriate. They then formulate a written research proposal in a standard format. -- Course Website
