This unit builds on a solid foundation of mathematics and physics established at the undergraduate levels in Physics, or Astronomy and Astrophysics, and develops the major elements of modern physics at an advanced level. <br/><br/>The unit comprises lecture modules, with 18 lectures being compulsory and the remaining 18 lectures being drawn from a selection of elective modules.
