This unit uses contemporary moral theory to shed light on some of the most pressing ethical questions of our time. It focuses specifically on ethical issues about justice and the problems that arise from the interaction of nations and cultures in the modern world. The unit considers such moral issues as foreign aid, free speech, abortion, terrorism, torture, distributive justice, affirmative action and our obligations in the face of climate change.
