This unit provides students with basic knowledge and skills to gather, interpret and manipulate reservoir properties necessary for reservoir analysis and simulation. Topics include logging and data acquisition; log analysis and interpretation; rock mechanical properties from laboratory tests and other means; petrophysical properties from laboratory tests and other means; well test analysis and interpretation; data uncertainty; univariate, bivariate and multivariate statistics of reservoir data; geostatistics; spatial modelling and interpretation of reservoir properties (Variogram, Krigging, Simulated Annealing); and upscaling of reservoir properties. -- Course Website
