This unit is taken over two semesters and parts 1 and 2 must be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit. Students can commence the unit in either semester 1 or semester 2.<br/><br/>The unit provides students with a background in data management, statistics, library skills, scientific writing, research ethics and safety. Students deliver a seminar on a topic outside their chosen field of research. The unit provides the skills required for an honours research project and increases students' breadth of knowledge.<br/><br/>The unit prepares the student for the research work and thesis by providing training in written and oral communication as well as a range of scientific methods.... -- Course Website
