The units MUSC4140 Music Honours Research 1 and MUSC4141 Music Honours Research 2 enable students to undertake in-depth study in one of three areas: musicology (which includes ethnomusicology and music psychology), composition or performance. <br/><br/>Music Honours Research (musicology, ethnomusicology, music psychology) students are required to present for examination a 12,000- to 15,000-word dissertation and give an oral presentation at the School of Music honours and postgraduate seminar.<br/><br/>Music Honours Research (composition) students are required to compose and present a creative object (e.g. a portfolio of original works, a recital) and a 2000- to 4000-word exegesis on a... -- Course Website
