This unit enables students to undertake independent music project on an approved topic. The unit involves: (1) study under supervision of a project relating to the literature or techniques of music, selected and approved in consultation with the relevant staff member in the student's chosen area of study; (2) oral presentation of the project at the School of Music Honours and Postgraduate Seminar preparation; and (3) submission of a portfolio (equivalent to 4500 words) that approaches or reaches professional publication standard.<br/><br/>According to individual student specialisms, music projects could include—critical reviews of published music research; arrangements of a musical work... -- Course Website
