In this unit students choose to specialise in either music performance or composition in order to extend musicianship, technical and repertory skills addressed in MUSC2541 Practical Music 3. For performers, there is a particular emphasis on the study of more advanced repertoire drawn from the literature of the student's principal instrument or voice. The focus is on consolidating the level of technical and musical skill attained in MUSC1341 Practical Music 1, MUSC1342 Practical Music 2 and MUSC2541 Practical Music 3, and culminate in a performance examination of repertoire selected to demonstrate these skills.
