This unit enables students to develop instrumental/vocal skills to levels of assured and convincing public ensemble performance by participating in a related music ensemble, for examples, symphony orchestra/wind symphony, African drumming, choir/Winthrop Singers (to that in which students participated in MUSC1981 Music Ensemble 1 and subject to audition, e.g. symphony orchestra) or through the learning of new repertoire in the same ensemble. A series of seminars focus on the study of repertoire and analysis in relation to the music performed in the chosen/approved music ensemble.
