This unit helps students to develop the knowledge and skills required to be an effective leader. It presents several models of leadership and discusses how they relate to performance. Students learn skills in relation to self-awareness, emotional intelligence, self-leadership and other leadership competencies. Students discover and reflect on their own leadership competencies and focus on the development of specific skill areas throughout the unit. The unit involves learning and application of theories, self-assessment, experiential learning and development of plans and actions to improve personal and interpersonal skills in a number of areas. -- Course Website
