Notions of word are fundamental in understanding language. This unit introduces the analysis of word structure. Topics include the diverse phenomena of word structure in the languages of the world; analysis in morpheme-based and word-based models; and the relationships between the lexicon and phonology and syntax, including inflectional paradigms and word formation. -- Course Website
