This unit combines lectures, group work and discussion of problem questions. The main emphasis is on in-class learning, however, students are also expected to consider required readings and set problem questions in non-teaching times. Students work in small groups to lead the class discussion in applying legal principles to a novel scenario for the purposes of an in-class presentation.

To provide a framework for the legal topics, a case study focus is adopted. This allows the students to work through the legal issues encountered during the life cycle of a not-for-profit entity and provide a basis for assessment methods. -- Course Website
