This unit introduces students to the nature of law, and the relationship between law and justice. It examines the way that law operates in the world's major legal systems, drawing on the experiences of Australian, Indigenous and international perspectives. The unit seeks to empower and enable students to assess the strengths and weaknesses of law as a means of regulating society in the context of competing and conflicting interests. -- Course Website
