This unit is taken over two semesters and parts 1 and 2 must be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit.<br/><br/>Rural General Practice is a compulsory component of the Year 6 curriculum. This five-week term includes a half-day orientation, four-and-a-half-week placement with a rural GP or District Medical Officer and finishes with a one-day review and assessment. This term allows the opportunity to experience rural life along with developing an understanding of rural medicine and is a collaboration between General Practice and the Rural Clinical School of Western Australia. -- Course Website
