This unit is taken over two semesters and parts 1 and 2 must be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit.<br/><br/>The Level 4 attachment in surgery consists of an eight-week program of general surgery. The clinical clerkships may be based at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Hollywood Hospital or Fremantle Hospital. <br/><br/>During the clerkship, students attend bedside teaching, tutorials, seminars, practical demonstrations and operating theatre sessions. There is an opportunity to clerk a wide variety of patients. Students are expected to remain in the hospital after hours on occasion so that experience with surgical emergencies may be gained. <br/><br/>The surgical workbook... -- Course Website
