This unit is taken over two semesters and parts 1 and 2 must be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit.<br/><br/>The unit is an eight-week medicine clerkship which develops clinical skills including history taking, physical examination, clinical reasoning and problem solving, communication with the patient, family and colleagues, and procedural skills. Students are attached in small groups to clinical units led by a consultant physician. During their attachments, they are expected to develop their history and physical examination skills under the supervision of their consultant and registrar.
