This unit is taken over two semesters and parts 1 and 2 must be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit.<br/><br/>Lectures are given on the topics of zoonotic infections, nosocomial infections, infections in immunocompromised hosts, HIV infection, infections of pregnancy and the puerperium, congenital infections, foreign device infections, bone and joint infections, soft-tissue infections, blood-borne viruses, sexually transmitted infections, infections in immigrants, and infections in returned travellers.
