This unit is available to between 20 and 30 selected Level 2 and Level 3 health science students, Level 3 medical students, a limited number of Level 5 medical students and Masters of Nursing Science students who have completed six to 12 months of their course. <br/><br/>There are two seminars prior to travel which address the cultural, social and health context of the area where the field work is conducted. Following the end-of-semester examinations, the interprofessional student group travels to Bangalore in India for two weeks of field work with a non-government organisation.
