This unit is taken over two semesters and parts 1 and 2 must be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit.<br/><br/>The unit follows and builds on the foundation of knowledge laid down in the Level 3 Periodontics unit, during which a detailed study of the periodontal tissues in health and disease was commenced. Topics in the lecture program of the Level 4 unit have a far more clinical focus. <br/><br/>Clinical sessions—Students are expected to carry through the management of periodontics patients already commenced in Level 3.
