This unit prepares students for placement and subsequent work within the health industry. A workshop style of teaching, with short lectures, exercises, role playing and practical experiences, provides students with generic competencies required for work within the health industry. Students are introduced to various written and verbal styles of communication, methods for seeking out information and resources, principles of ethical workplace behaviours, elements and procedures of project management and techniques for managing time and resources.
