Groundwater is a vital resource in Australia, particularly Western Australia, as well as a key factor in the sustainability of both our society and the environment. Groundwater systems are complex with the distribution and dynamics of these systems controlled by a variety of physical, chemical and biological processes. Hydrogeologists aim to understand these processes and how they interact to contribute to the development of groundwater resources and their sustainable use for future generations. This unit gives students a basic level of understanding in most hydrogeological phenomena. This understanding is coupled with the ability to quantify many of the relevant physical processes for... -- Course Website
