This language unit is the entry point into French Studies for students who are native or near-native speakers. It consolidates and expands on some essential fundamentals of French grammar and syntax. It creates numerous opportunities for a deeper understanding of French as a foreign language, and for oral and written communication. Students use and explore the resources of the French community in Perth, while expanding their cultural awareness of France and the French language by reading and engaging with a full-length novel chosen for its cultural and literary merits.
