This unit develops a greater understanding of investment analysis and capital markets from the viewpoint of the investor/fund manager. Topics include an overview of the operations of the capital markets; security analysis; risk–return trade-off and portfolio theory; the temporal behaviour of security prices including the efficient markets hypothesis and the evidence relating to it; asset pricing models; fixed income securities; investment performance and measurement; options and futures. -- Course Website
