This unit provides an introduction to the functioning of the Earth's environment. It covers physical, hydrological and ecological processes at an introductory level for our environmental systems. It emphasises the holistic 'system' perspective, that is, how physical, hydrological and ecological processes respond to and interact with each other. The unit covers theories and quantitative techniques to understand interactions between water, air and soil, and ecosystem response to these interactions. -- Course Website
