This unit provides an advanced treatment of macroeconomics and the current practice of macroeconomic policy. It is shown how economic theory is used to construct macroeconomic models and how these models are applied for forecasting and economic policy formulation. Special attention is paid to the interface between macroeconomics and finance, including the formation of expectations in asset markets and the dependence of macroeconomic outcomes on expectations. -- Course Website
