This unit focuses on the application of finance and economics to mining and energy. The finance part deals with the applications of the principles of valuation of investment projects and risk management in mining and energy environments, as well as sources of funds available to resource companies. The economics part deals with the theory of the mine, exchange rates and world metal and energy prices, and the Australian dollar as a commodity currency. -- Course Website
