The objective of this unit is to develop an understanding of fundamental geological concepts and processes, within an Earth System context, and show how the application of physical, chemical and biological sciences is used to solve geological problems. The unit focuses on large-scale aspects such as the evolution of continents and the biosphere, geological processes that result in the formation of basic Earth materials, and contemporary issues in environmental geology, particularly those most relevant to Western Australia. -- Course Website
