This unit focuses on the context for Australian dental epidemiology. The topics covered are the history of and context for Australian dental epidemiology; an overview of Australian National Dental Health Surveys; the oral health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; epidemiological data and treatment provision; epidemiological information in policy making and planning; epidemiology of dental caries; epidemiology of periodontal disease; epidemiology of oral pathological conditions; and epidemiology of enamel defects, malocclusion and dry mouth. -- Course Website
