This is an elective unit in which the characteristics of continuing dental education students—physical, cognitive, social/emotional—are identified. Adult learning styles are discussed. Students are encouraged to make the change from teacher to facilitator of learning. They gain expertise in using computer-aided information resources applicable to dental education such as ERIC and the internet. The creation of lifelong dental education attitudes is considered.
