This unit covers properties of natural gases and crude oils; fluid phase behaviour; vapour—liquid equilibria; equations of state—theory; equations of state—applications; PVT laboratory experiments; petroleum fluid characterisation; petroleum product specifications; surface separations; introduction to HYSYS process modelling software; H2O/hydrocarbon phase behaviour; and introduction to PVT phase behaviour software. <br/><br/>Students may be required to attend additional workshops, seminars or lectures from visiting academics or industry specialists. -- Course Website
