This unit introduces students to current field techniques used by maritime archaeologists. These include remote sensing, excavation techniques, GIS, computer applications, underwater and terrestrial photography, photogrammetry, ROV, underwater search techniques, boat and diving logistics. Students demonstrate their applied understanding of these topics through an essay, practical sessions, tutorials and an examination. -- Course Website
