In this unit a selection of contemporary issues and debates of theoretical, methodological and/or ethical importance for anthropology and/or sociology are considered and how they arise from, respond to and/or inform anthropological and sociological bodies of practice and knowledge. Underlying many of these issues are questions about the uses of culture, social organisation and relations in the contemporary world. Attention to culture is increasingly visible in contemporary times, places, texts, events and media.
