Paramedic Clinical Skills 2 will build on students¿ knowledge and skills acquired in Paramedic Clinical Skills 1 (PMDC2100) and will continue the theory and practice of effective communication, history taking, physical examination and procedural skills. Communication skills will include topics such as breaking bad news, obtaining informed consent, managing expectations, as well as communicating with patients who are angry, upset, violent or non-communicative. These communication skills will prove useful in the concurrent course Behavioural Conditions & Emergencies (PMDC2202) where students will be required to communicate effectively not only with patients with a diagnosed mental illness,... -- Course Website
