This course examines issues and inter-relationships between drugs and crime. The course includes a detailed examination of drug use in Australia, including trends, patterns of usage and explanations for illicit drug use. A concentrated examination of the relationships between drugs and crime is a key focus as well as the current state of policy responses to drug control and prevention in Australia and internationally.<br/>This course will be offered flexibly in semester 2, 2011. There will be no weekly face-to-face lectures. Lectures, course materials and assessment will be delivered on-line via the course Blackboard site. -- Course Website
