Curating is one of the major vocational outcomes for the study of art history. This course introduces students to theoretical principles and debates regarding art curatorship throughout the twentieth century and up until today, and develops practical skills in conceptualising and writing exhibition proposals; museum didactics; and exhibition catalogue essays. Practical experience in working in an art gallery is also a significant aspect of Curating in the Visual Arts, comprising one third of total contact hours for the course. -- Course Website
