Subject Area: Theatre and Performance Studies<br/><br/>ARTS3126 introduces ways of investigating and interpreting the theatrical and performance past. It presents methods for analyzing performance evidence and representations as well as history texts and historiographical theories. Topics may include: documentary evidence and iconography, periodization, historiography and historicization, biography and autobiography, social history and the performing body, and performance history and methodology from fields such as cultural and gender studies. -- Course Website
