This course represents a major research-based investigation into a subject related to the student’s area of specialization. It should represent an original contribution to work in that area which demonstrates a high level of scholarship and an understanding of good research methods. It can appropriately be seen as stage two of a two-part project linked to the Honours Research Thesis 1, but must be complete in and of itself. The work is to be closely supervised by a member of the academic staff.
