Asia is a diverse and complex region. The subject investigates the key elements and dynamics of the changing business environment in Asian countries. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between the economy, business and domestic politics and to the impact of international trends. Topics will include industrialisation and trade, labour force, industrial relations and education, financial liberalisation and foreign investment, urbanisation and The middle class, entrepreneurship, the development state, culture and business environment, corporate governance and the Australian relationship with Asia. -- Course Website
