This subject was formerly called Social Planning. The subject provides a theoretical perspective on inclusive cities and examines case studies of policy, planning and design that are intended to promote such cities. Case studies will include topics such as neighbourhood renewal, opposition to increasing urban density, homelessness and indigenous disadvantage. The case studies will require students to explore the underlying causes of the issues and to consider relevant urban policy and other responses. -- Course Website
