Topics include: the development and planning of settlements in Australia: the colonial architecture of New South Wales and Tasmania; land and building regulations, urban conditions, building techniques; the development of architecture in Melbourne from its founding to recent times and the emergence of modern architecture. Special emphasis will be placed on the Melbourne environment. -- Course Website
