This unit will comprehensively cover occupational therapy assessment and management options for young children with developmental delays and common diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder and cerebral palsy. Etiology and epidemiology of conditions and the occupational therapy role in evaluation are described. The impact of accommodating the significant needs of a child with a disability in a family will be described and the impact on both all family member's occupational therapy service delivery explored in depth.
