This unit provides an overview of women's and children's health in resource poor settings using a life cycle approach. It explores the current health status of women and children; analyses the determinants of women's and children's health in poor communities; provides an introduction to program planning, implementation, management and the evaluation of effective strategies; and includes specific sessions on reproductive health; maternal, newborn and child health; adolescent health; children's rights; gender; disability; and healthy ageing. -- Course Website
